Next meeting: Central Library Tour, July 20, 11am

The workmen have left the building and the ribbon has been cut so it’s time to see the results of the restoration/renovation at Central Library downtown at 1301 Olive Street, Come see the jewel of the St. Louis Public Library polished and ready to take us through the next 100 years, with updated systems and technology and a restoration that shows the beauty and the grandeur of this architectural masterpiece by Cass Gilbert. Our group will meet at the desk in the Great Hall on the 2nd floor at 11 am prior to the start of a docent lead tour. Please note: Parking meters around Central Library will require payment on Saturdays. These meters will take $2.00 in coins for two hours.
Library Free Parking – The Library provides free parking ONLY on the parking lot that is located at Olive and 15th Street . The entrance to the lot is on the west side of 15th street . You will find an arm (yellow and black) that will rise to allow access to the lot. In order to exit the lot, a token can be requested at one of the issue desks at the conclusion of the tour.
